Conservative Hypocrisy and Manipulation

The underhandedness and hypocrisy of Theresa May and the Conservatives rarely fails to surprise me. Their campaign seems to rest on the vilification of one individual; this is a major example of using personality politics to dishonestly manipulate the public's thoughts. The amount of times Jeremy Corbyn's name comes up in the conservative campaign or recent interviews with May is very high. Aren't policies the important issue?

In an interview with Andrew Neil May accused Corbyn and labour of scaremongering in order to "sneak into number 10". The hypocrisy here is staggering. The conservative campaign and May's arguments rest on convincing the country that Corbyn is "a threat", on scaring people into believing that Corbyn will destroy our country. The emotive language used - "sneak into number 10" - is itself a stark example of this, as though Corbyn and his team were dastardly underhanded villains trying to seize power. It's worth bearing in mind that Corbyn was democratically elected - twice! - receiving the largest mandate in electoral history. Was May elected?

Now, to top it off, May, along with the likes of Michael Fallon and Boris Johnson, is using Corbyn's speech regarding the Manchester bombing to bolster the Conservative campaign, by, yet again, vilifying the man. Also Corbyn's speech is basically an iteration of what Boris Johnson himself said in 2005. Are these hypocritical and ill-informed tactics not transparent enough?
